If police were to be routinely armed, would it not follow that more criminals would also be armed, with an escalation in shootings? It is frightening to live in a country, as I have, where police always carry weapons. It feels unsafe and threatening. I would agree that the armed offenders team could be increased, but only if given adequate training. Please Lord, help us to keep in mind that you are the Prince of Peace.
